Poor hygiene causes spots and pimples
FALSE. A dirty face does not cause pimples, however excessive washing is also a bad idea as it may irritate your skin and make your problem skin worse.
Your first shave will give you pimples

Eating chocolate causes pimples
NO! This would have to be the mother of all myths! The fact of the matter is, there is nothing in chocolate that has any direct effect on spots or pimples.
Eating oily foods causes pimples
Same as above, oily foods do not cause or worsen pimples, but like everything they are only good for you in moderation.
Waxing causes pimples
OUCH! Waxing does not cause pimples.
Pimples are more common in girls
WRONG! Pimples affect both sexes equally, however females may be more likely to see a dermatologist about their skin problem as they can be more conscious of their appearance.
Masturbation causes pimples
NO! The only link between masturbation and pimples is that both are often associated with adolescence
